The Changsha Xiangjiang Happy Ocean Project is a landmark night lighting project for an amusement park within Changsha’s cultural tourism sector. Designed to deliver an immersive nightscape experience for family visitors and tourists, it sets extremely high standards for lighting products in terms of safety, stability, color rendering performance and intelligent control capability.
As a large-scale outdoor theme park, its nighttime lighting must not only meet basic safety lighting requirements, but also deliver powerful visual impact, narrative qualities and immersive atmosphere to extend visitors’ stay duration.
Visual Consistency of Project Requirements: In line with the overall tone of the amusement park, establish an ocean-themed color scheme dominated by blue, purple and cyan.
Dynamic Interaction: Lights must be linked to generate breathing dynamic effects including rolling waves, swimming whales and twinkling stars.
Ultimate Reflections: The project surrounds a large artificial lake. It is necessary to ensure that shore lights form perfect mirror reflections on calm water, creating a "dual wonderland above and beneath the water surface".
Energy Consumption and Service Life: While maintaining brightness, the overall lighting system is required to feature high energy efficiency and an operating lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
To adapt to the local rainy and humid outdoor environment, all outdoor architectural and landscape lighting fixtures adopted in this project feature a high protection rating (IP66 or above). The specific configurations are as follows:
LED Wall Washer Lights: Custom high-power wall washers with a length of 1 meter and power of 36W, RGBW 4-in-1 full-color, supporting the DMX512 control protocol. They are used for flood lighting on large building facades and bridge illumination.
LED Linear Lights: Flexible or rigid RGB linear lighting fixtures with a power of 12W. Installed along the edges of roller coaster tracks to create ultra-narrow luminous lines and flowing lighting effects.
LED Flood Lights: 150W high-power floodlights, deployed to illuminate the giant whale sculpture, roller coaster support columns and main park roads, delivering high brightness and uniform light distribution.
Supplementary equipment: Ground projection lights, outdoor color wash lights, anti-glare light control accessories.
Upon completion of the amusement park, layered lighting and immersive light installations instantly revitalize the entire venue. Through the precise outlining by LED Wall Washer Lights and LED Linear Lights, the intricate industrial roller coaster structure is transformed into a massive luminous artwork. Reflections on the water resemble scenes from sci-fi movies, intuitively demonstrating the transformative power of light and shadow.
